Hassan Ali says he's loving the responsibility he's been given with ball.
Voted as your Talbots Law Player of the Match against Durham, Ali was given the new ball, taking one wicket for just seven runs in three overs.
“The conditions were really helpful for us fast bowlers,” said Ali. “We decided as a team to bowl first and make us of them. We restricted them to less than 150 and in the end it proved to not be an easy game. They fought back really well, but we’re pleased to get another win.
“I’m really enjoying my responsibility within the team. I’ve been here for three months and I’ve really enjoyed my bowling. I do what the skipper wants and I’ll always raise my hand to bowl. I’m really pleased that I’ve put in some performances that help to a winning cause.”
Ali will link-up with his country’s Test squad early next month, in part to his impressive performances with the Bears.
The 28-year-old has taken 26 wickets in all formats so far and he’s hoping to add a few more before his departure.
“That’s why we are playing and country comes first,” added Ali. “I’m really pleased to link-up with the Test team back home. I have a couple of T20s left and a Championship fixture, which I’m really looking forward to. I’m going to keep giving my all and hopefully I can leave my impact with Warwickshire.”
