Rob Yates credits the ‘special’ Bears vs Pears derby for giving him the hunger to confirm his spot in Warwickshire’s white-ball teams.
Yates, who has had an excellent start to the County Championship season, has solidified his place at the top of the order in the Bears white-ball side and has played in a handful of Bears vs Pears derbies.
Birmingham Bears welcome Worcestershire Rapids to Edgbaston on Friday 12 July. The West Midlands derby is one of the biggest in the Vitality Blast and always draws a near sell-out crowd.
Early Bird tickets are still available for Derby Day, but these will end at midnight on Friday 19 April.
