Sarah Glenn can't wait to start the international summer in front of a partisan Edgbaston crowd.
Over 13,000 tickets have been sold for Saturday, with a blend of England and Pakistan supporters ready to cheer on their team.
“We played here last year and the crowd we got was unbelievable,” said the 24-year-old spinner. “Even going back to the Commonwealth Games, I’ve had so many positive experiences here in terms of the crowd getting behind us.
“When you’re trying to compete in international cricket, you’re so focussed on the job, but with the crowd there, you remember what you’re doing it for – which is to inspire and entertain.
“We’ve seen the crowds shift with new fans, who don’t even know the game or are just starting their cricket journey, so when we speak to them in the crowd that makes the whole process exciting.”
Speaking of the first match of the series, Glenn added: “Pakistan are a quality side and there will be so many pressured moments in the game, so trying to do that whilst inspiring a crowd is difficult, but it’ll be an exciting challenge for us.
“The (Pakistan crowd) will make it more competitive and we’ve played with crowds like that before. Of course we want everyone to support England, but that’s not going to happen at the World Cup, so it’s good practice for us.”

Pakistan Women will be in Birmingham on Saturday 11 May 2024 and over 13,000 tickets have already been sold.
