Bears Head of Women’s Cricket Laura MacLeod says she’s pleased with how her first Bears Women squad is shaping up after months of player negotiations.
MacLeod has been busy finalizing the Bears Women side ahead of their debut season as a Tier 1 club in a restructured professional structure in 2025.
She said: “We’ve got a good blend of experience and exciting young talent. It’s great that we’ve retained a good number of Central Sparks players, many of whom have roots in the area so they’ll be playing for their home team. But also some new faces coming in.
“I hope the brand of cricket we’ll play at Edgbaston next summer will be something that will make people go ‘wow’, I want to be a part of this.”
