Welcome to Warwickshire Cricket Foundation (WCF), the driving force behind all recreational (non-professional) cricket in the county. In close collaboration with Warwickshire County Cricket Club, WCF is dedicated to making cricket accessible to everyone in Warwickshire, and to champion the sport in order to promote positive mental and physical wellbeing. Our initiatives span across adults, boys, girls, and people with disabilities, covering activities in schools, community hubs, and local clubs.

Joining Our Team

Are you passionate about empowering women and girls through sport? We’re looking for an enthusiastic female coach to join our team at Edgbaston as part of the Cricket Cities Community project. This role works closely with women’s groups from a variety of cultural and religious backgrounds, where a female coach is a genuine occupational requirement due to community needs and preferences. While some sessions will be mixed gender, the focus is on supporting and engaging female participants.

As our Cricket Cities Community Coach, you’ll deliver inspiring sessions in inner-city communities, help grow female participation, and build strong relationships with local partners. You’ll play a key role in breaking down barriers to activity and promoting wellbeing through cricket.

If you have the following skills and experience, we’d love to hear from you:

  • Proven coaching experience, ideally in inner-city communities
  • Experience coaching females and understanding the barriers to female participation
  • Cultural awareness and confidence working with diverse groups
  • Commitment to supporting the wellbeing of women and girls
  • Coaching qualification, First Aid and Safeguarding certificates
  • Enhanced DBS clearance and a full driving licence

Location:           Edgbaston Stadium
Salary:Up to £23,500 per annum
Contract type:12-month fixed-term maternity cover, full-time

Working Hours & Expectations

  • Full-time, 35 hours per week, normally Monday to Friday.
  • Core hours typically fall between 9.00am and 5.00pm, with occasional evening or weekend work required.
  • You must have a full driving licence and access to transport for travel between venues.
