Following the announcement of the 2026 Vitality Blast fixtures earlier this week, Warwickshire County Cricket Club can now confirm the remainder of the club’s domestic schedule for the upcoming season.
The Rothesay County Championship season begins at Edgbaston Stadium on Friday 3 April, where Warwickshire open their campaign against Surrey, marking the first of several early-season home red-ball fixtures, with Essex, Glamorgan and Yorkshire also the visitors across April and May.
The Bears will then contest a full programme of Championship cricket through the summer, including key away visits to Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge, Somerset in Taunton, and Hampshire at the Utilita Bowl.
Alongside the men’s red-ball campaign, Warwickshire’s women will compete in a comprehensive 50-over schedule featuring matches at Edgbaston and away from home, with the season starting at home to Surrey on Saturday 11 April.
The season includes meetings with Hampshire, The Blaze, Lancashire, Durham and Yorkshire, as well as away trips to Old Trafford, Chelmsford and Durham. Supporters will also see several women’s fixtures staged at Edgbaston during the height of summer, continuing the club’s commitment to showcasing both men’s and women’s cricket on the main stage.
Following the conclusion of the Vitality Blast group stages and Finals Day at Edgbaston in mid-July, the attention shifts to the Metro Bank One Day Cup, with Warwickshire contesting group matches both home and away. Three of the Bears’ home fixtures will again be played at Rugby School, continuing the successful partnership that has brought large family crowds and a festival atmosphere in recent seasons. The Metro Bank One Day Cup knockout rounds are scheduled for mid-August.
The closing stages of the summer see a return to County Championship action, with Warwickshire hosting Nottinghamshire and Sussex at Edgbaston in late August, before finishing the season at home to Leicestershire from Thursday 24 September.
With action across all formats and matches being played at Edgbaston Stadium, Rugby School, and out-grounds nationwide, the 2026 season promises months of high-quality cricket and opportunities for supporters to follow the Bears home and away.
