The Rothesay County Championship returns to Edgbaston as Warwickshire face Surrey (3–6 April), with gates opening at 10am and play starting at 11am. Please note updated entry routes and limited circulation due to redevelopment works.

The season is finally upon us with the opening round of Rothesay County Championship fixtures taking place this week, with Warwickshire County Cricket Club hosting Surrey at Edgbaston Stadium from Friday 3 April – Monday 6 April.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the action getting under way…

Only Members will have access to the Tom Dollery Lounge and the David Heath Suite. If you have any questions, speak to one of our friendly stewards who will be happy to help.

If you are yet to receive your 2026 Membership Card, please see the team at the Ticket Office at Edgbaston Superstore.

What’s on offer?

Food and drink will be available from Tom Dollery Lounge, David Heath Suite and in the concourse in the South Stand.

Edgbaston is a cashless stadium, so please bring your card or e-wallet for any purchases on the day.

Thanks to Edgbaston’s new UK‑first automated cup return system, fans will enjoy a much smoother, faster end to their matchday. Instead of queueing to hand back reusable cups, spectators can now simply drop their cups into smart collection points and walk straight out of the stadium. The system automatically refunds the deposit to the right person, even if someone else in the group returns the cup, which makes leaving the ground quicker and far less stressful. This upgrade removes one of the biggest bottlenecks on busy matchdays, helping fans get home sooner while also supporting a more sustainable, low‑waste approach to cups.

The Museum, located behind the Raglan Stand, will be open across all four days. Entry is free and donations are welcomed.

Multifaith Rooms will be open and are located behind the Selco Builders Warehouse Family Stand and in the South Stand.

Sensory Rooms are also available for children and adults with sensory processing issues. Please speak to a steward if you would like access to a Sensory Room.

Stadium redevelopment

Edgbaston Stadium will look a little different due to the exciting redevelopment, but we’re doing everything we can to ensure your matchday is impacted as little as possible.

The Raglan and Priory Stands were demolished at the end of 2025 and work is currently under way to build the new stand and develop the eye-catching Radisson RED Hotel. To mitigate the disruption, we will be opening main reception and E9 as entrances where spectators can get tickets scanned.

There will be no 360 circulation around the ground and the Club Shop will be open but access will be via concourse.

The David Heath Suite and Tom Dollery Lounge will be open throughout the fixture against Surrey. If guests enter via main reception and would like to go to the David Heath Suite, they can either walk around The Hollies or can be scanned out and back in again.

Should spectators require any assistance, they can report issues or requests via the Edgbaston App.

News from the dressing room…
