Five Bears’ Women players have signed dual registration deals to enable them to keep sharp when not selected for Ali Maiden’s side this year.
Meg Austin, Phoebe Brett, Chloe Brewer, Bethan Ellis and Abbey Freeborn have all signed terms with other counties, meaning they are eligible to play Tier 2 cricket when not selected by the Bears.
Ellis and Freeborn have both signed with Glamorgan, Brewer will represent Gloucestershire, Austin has joined Northants, while Brett will have the spend time at New Road with Worcestershire after an injury lay-off in the winter.
The Bears have priority selection on all players, so the quintet will only be available for their other respective counties in the event they are no selected for a particular match.
