Mary Taylor is backing the Bears to bounce back when they take on Lancashire in the Metro Bank One Day Cup at Old Trafford on Wednesday.
Warwickshire are looking to return to winning ways after slipping to defeat at home to Durham last week.
Taylor, who is in her first full season with the Bears having signed from Hampshire at the end of last year, says that in her short time with the club, they have always responded well to setbacks.
“It was obviously disappointing result against Durham, but I think what’s great about this team is that we bounce back really well,” she said.
“This is a really good environment, and I have no doubt that we’ll come back in the next game.
“We’ve shown in other games how we can do across batting, bowling and fielding, so we just need to take that forward into the next two games.”
It’s set to be a busy week for the Bears’ side, with their trip to Lancashire on Wednesday followed by an away game against Yorkshire on Saturday.
Two wins could transform their season, with the team having been on the wrong side of several tight games in recent weeks.
Taylor is hoping they can be on the right side of results this week, and having contributed with both bat and ball in her four appearances this season, is looking to continue having a positive impact.
“I’m just trying to get into my rhythm with my bowling and hopefully I can execute the right plans when needed,” she added. “It’s about keeping it simple and doing my best for the Bears.
“Lancashire always pose a test. They’re a good squad, and in the past, they’ve always been tough to play.
“We need to continue batting the way we have been because that’s been phenomenal, and then as bowlers we’ve looked at our plans ahead of Wednesday.
“The key thing for us is to prepare well, be as clear on our plans as possible, and hopefully execute on Wednesday.”
Play gets under way at Old Trafford at 10:30am on Wednesday, with the teams set to be announced at the toss.
