Warwickshire County Cricket Club Members, supporters and fans of cricket are invited to leave tributes in a Book of Remembrance for Bears’ legend MJK Smith, who passed away last month at the age of 92.
Smith captained Warwickshire a record 327 times and scored more than 30,000 runs, in addition to captaining England in half of his 50 caps between 1963 and 1966.
The Book of Remembrance will be open from Monday 8 June – Tuesday 16 June from 10am to 3pm, excluding Sunday 14 June, for supporters to leave tributes to Smith. It will be located at the Reception desk at Edgbaston Stadium, before being handed over to MJK’s family ahead of a private funeral.
For those who are unable to visit Edgbaston Stadium, please click here to leave an electronic tribute which will be transferred to the Book.
