Edgbaston Stadium is officially sold out for the huge ICC Women’s T20 World Cup double-header on Sunday 14 June.
The tournament opened on Friday night with a bumper crowd in attendance at Edgbaston for the curtain-raiser between England and Sri Lanka, with England delighting the home support with an 87-run win.
The People’s Home of Cricket takes centre stage once again on Sunday, with Bangladesh taking on the Netherlands, before one of the biggest fixtures in world cricket takes place, with India facing Pakistan in front of a capacity crowd.
Edgbaston Stadium Chief Executive Officer, Stuart Cain, said: “It’s brilliant news for everyone involved that today’s fixture is now officially sold out, after an amazing opening night on Friday.
“Edgbaston is one of the best places in the world to watch cricket, especially when it’s full, so I’m just as excited as everyone else for today’s games. It’s great to have the eyes of the world on Edgbaston and today we’ll show everyone what we’re all about.
“It’s been an electric start to the Women’s T20 World Cup, and I’m sure today’s fixtures will be a long-lasting highlight.”
Bangladesh against Netherlands got under way at 10:30am before India play Pakistan at 2:30pm, with coverage live on Sky Sports Cricket.
