Olly Hannon-Dalby will remain at Warwickshire County Cricket Club until the end of the 2029 season after signing a three-year extension at Edgbaston Stadium.

The right-arm seamer will stay at Warwickshire through to his 17th season after he joined from Yorkshire in 2013.

Hannon-Dalby, who began the 2026 campaign on loan at Worcestershire, was recalled to the Bears lineup at the start of May, making an instant impact on his return by taking seven wickets in the match as the Bears beat Yorkshire by 377 runs in the Rothesay County Championship.

In the next game, the 6ft 8in Yorkshireman took five for 53 in the first innings, keeping Warwickshire firmly in the contest against Glamorgan.

Hannon-Dalby went past 600 career wickets earlier this season, and he is delighted that he’ll have the opportunity to make more memories with Warwickshire in the coming years.

“If you’d have said to me that I’d end up staying here for 15 or 16 years, I’d have absolutely bitten your hand off,” he said.

“I was probably very close to leaving the game. No one really fancied taking a punt on me, but the guys here – Graeme Welch, Dougie Brown, Jim Troughton – took a bit of a gamble on me.

“To still be here 13 years later is absolutely brilliant and to have had some success along the way too, both personally and then as a team. I’ve been very lucky to have been part of some great teams and hopefully in the next few years we’ve got some more silverware to come.”

Hannon-Dalby has been a vital part of Warwickshire’s success in all formats since joining the Club.

In 2014, Hannon-Dalby helped to bring the first Vitality Blast title to the Bears, taking three for 31 against Lancashire in the final. In 2016, he was part of the Warwickshire side that won the One Day Cup, and in 2021 he took 24 wickets in the County Championship as the Bears triumphed in the competition for the first time in nine years.

Warwickshire County Cricket Club Head Coach, Ian Westwood, said: “It’s fantastic news for everyone involved that Olly has committed his future to us for the next three years.

“He’s been an important player in our squad for a long time now and continues to push himself to get better year on year.

“It’s important to recognise not only what he brings on the field, but also the impact he has off it. He’s a highly respected figure within the dressing room and someone our supporters have built a real connection with over the years.

“He’s been outstanding for us this season, and it’s a real positive for the Club that he’ll be here for the next three years.”
