Warwickshire Women continue winning streak following victory at Surrey!
Away to Surrey at Reed School, Warwickshire won the toss and put Surrey in to bat. This proved to be a good decision as openers Crofts and Green set the tone with Green getting two early wickets. Soon after, Natalie Sciver was run out from a direct hit by Laura Crofts and Surrey were struggling on 24-3 off 10 (power play overs).

Bears newcomer Jenny Gunn and Georgia Hennessy continued the pace attack with Hennessy getting the 4th wicket just before drinks. On came spinners Georgia Davis and Rebecca Grundy who created plenty of chances for wickets until Davis got the breakthrough leaving Surrey on 100-5 off 31. Again, Warwickshire chipped away and the 6th wicket fell to Davis too as Surrey were 128-6 off 39. A wicket from Grundy, two from Kayleigh Best and a run out from Kelly saw Surrey all out for 144 off 47 overs.
Warwickshire lost an early wicket in their response but opener Mina Zahoor kept her cool with her and Anna Lanning developing a near 50 partnership for the second wicket, before Lanning was caught at long off for 10. Mina Zahoor followed having made a solid start (28) with Warwickshire on 62-3. Georgia Hennessey and Marie Kelly worked the spinners and kept the scoreboard ticking before Hennessey was caught at extra cover for 21. Jenny Gun joined Kelly at the crease as Warwickshire continued to knock the runs off coolly; Kelly top scored with 33 before being dismissed lbw by Natalie Sciver.

Warwickshire reached the total calmly in the 40th over, just missing out on full bonus points with runs from Gunn (21*) and Grundy (8*).

Another win for the Bears and a great team performance mean Warwickshire remain the only unbeaten team in the league with 4 games left to play.
