Due to the mid-season switch of Specsavers County Championship fixtures, there will be an amended set-up for all members and supporters at next week’s home match with Essex at Edgbaston, which gets underway on Tuesday 10 September.

The Tom Dollery Lounge is unavailable for the duration of the match so Warwickshire and Essex Members will have full use of the facilities in the David Heath Suite and the Old Player’s Dining Room in the RES Wyatt Stand, as well as the Skyline East in the South Stand.

Whilst we’re delighted that the game can be played here at Edgbaston, the unfortunate side of this switch is that much of the South Stand at Edgbaston had already been booked for a major conference for the duration of the match.

Founding Partners and Executive Members will also be relocated to the Marston’s Suite in the RES Wyatt Stand from the Chairman’s Lounge and Warwickshire Suite, which are both closed throughout the match.

The lower tier seating of the South Stand will remain open as usual.

Neil Snowball, Chief Executive of Warwickshire County Cricket Club, said: “Our home fixture with Essex was originally due to be played in July at Blackfinch New Road, but was switched mid-season because of the unfortunate flooding at New Road, and we are very grateful to Essex’s management for accommodating this change at late-notice.

“Whilst we’re delighted that the game can be played here at Edgbaston, the unfortunate side of this switch is that much of the South Stand at Edgbaston had already been booked for a major conference for the duration of the match.

“With this in mind, we are relocating our Member facilities to the RES Wyatt Stand in addition to opening the bar and catering facilities on the Skyline East.

“Our thanks go to our Members and supporters for their understanding with this situation.”

Entry to Warwickshire versus Essex is completely free to Warwickshire and Essex Members. For non-members, the adult tickets are priced at £15 with entry free to under 16s, who must but be accompanied by an adult at all times. As per usual for Specsavers County Championship fixtures in September, the match will start at the earlier time of 10.30am.

With space at the Edgbaston car park expected to be close to capacity due to the Championship fixture and the external event, Warwickshire CCC recommends the pay and display car park at The Midlands Art Centre (postcode B12 9QH) as an alternative option for spectators.
