Club partner FBC Manby Bowdler has thrown its support behind Warwickshire CCC’s official charity, the Edgbaston Foundation, by providing legal expertise during the charity’s first year on the will writing service Bequeathed.

Whilst October is normally Free Wills Month, the offer of a free will writing service via the Bequeathed platform is available all year round. When signing up to the online service, Members and supporters will have the opportunity to leave a donation to the Edgbaston Foundation.

Gifts in wills are an important source of support for many UK charities, making up to 60 per cent of total donations for some charities. Without these gifts a lot of charitable work could not happen. Whilst there is no obligation to include a gift in a will, many people do often choose to support charities they have an affinity with. Regardless of the decision taken, your online will is free.

The Edgbaston Foundation has a number of programmes that provide opportunities, connect communities and improve lives. From Full Circle Cricket, an intergenerational programme to improve wellbeing and reduce social isolation in care homes, to the Bears Classroom a primary education programme using cricket to address curriculum subjects, the charity has had a great impact in the local community.

“We are delighted to be supported by FBC Manby Bowdler and to have signed up to the Bequeathed online will writing service. This is a fantastic opportunity for supporters to get a will written for free and if there was a desire to support the Edgbaston Foundation, with a gift to help grow our work in the community, then of course we would be delighted.”

Ravi Masih, Lead of the Edgbaston Foundation

Gifts donated with a value of over £250 will receive a complimentary stone in the Bear and Ragged Staff Wall in gratitude from the Edgbaston Foundation. The Bear and Ragged Staff wall is located in prime position outside reception of the main entrance to the stadium.

Laura Jones, Head of Client Experience, Sales & Marketing, at FBC Manby Bowdler said: “This is a great opportunity for supporters to benefit from the Bequeathed service and we are proud to support the Edgbaston Foundation with its first year subscription.

“This has been an incredibly tough year for many charities, and we have seen how important the platform has been as a source for donations for the variety of charities we have supported. We hope the Edgbaston Foundation will be able to benefit too.”
