The Bears, on home soil, reached the Final after a fine comeback win by 16 runs against Surrey in the Semi Final. For the Final, the Bears named an unchanged side while the Lightning made one change with Kabir Ali being replaced by England superstar Andrew Flintoff.

2014 T20 Blast Semi-Final v Surrey

The Bears went into the day full of confidence after an impressive 19-run victory away at Essex in the Quarter-Finals, a match that featured an unbeaten 86 for Varun Chopra and 70 not out off 37 balls from Rikki Clarke.

For the Semi-Final, the Bears welcomed back England duo Chris Woakes and Ian Bell as Chopra’s side went in search of their first T20 title.

Warwickshire won the toss and elected to bowl first with an attack spearheaded by overseas spinner Imran Tahir, before the chase would see a memorable innings from Bears legend Ian Bell.

2011 Friends Life T20 v Durham

The fixture, which took place on 11 July 2011, was a classic encounter which featured a young Chris Woakes and some Warwickshire household names including Neil Carter, Darren Maddy and Jim Troughton.

2015 T20 Blast v Lancashire

Another classic in front of the Sky Sports cameras, the Bears were fighting uphill from the start as the team faced traffic problems up the M6 casting doubts on the scheduled start time.

Add in Brendon McCullum’s Bears debut to the mixture and it was a game with plenty of eyes on it. Could the Bears beat the Lightning and replicate the 2014 Final?
