Intro: The Edgbaston Masterplan
The Masterplan is our ambitious project to transform Edgbaston stadium into a multi-use sports, residential, commercial, and community complex.
Our ultimate aim is to combine elite sport, conferencing and events with community assets in order to improve health and social care, education, employment and social cohesion in the area.
This vision has transformed Edgbaston stadium in recent years.
The stadium now boasts one of the largest, most modern pavilions in international cricket, and what was disused land adjacent to the stadium had been turned into an award-winning apartment complex.
Our piazza now offers a fabulous outdoor space for us to host community, cultural and social events, while we have also developed a catering and hospitality centre of excellence in partnership with the Compass Group.
The latest Phase of our Masterplan is a proposal to build a 4-star, 146-room Radisson RED hotel incorporated into a redeveloped Raglan and Family Stand.
The new stand will hugely improve the spectator experience with a new covered concourse, toilets and food and beverage facilities.
