Report: Leeds/Bradford UCCE v Warwickshire, Friendly

First Team Coach Mark Robinson named a strong 12-man squad for the fixture at Weetwood and he will be delighted to see his side continue to impress.

Openers Dom Sibley (119) and Will Rhodes (105 retired out) looked in excellent touch as they put on an opening 204 first-wicket stand as the Bears declared on 428/4 after 120 overs.

Rob Yates (68 retired out), Sam Hain (51 retired out), Michael Burgess (47*) and Matt Lamb (17*) all contributed as Warwickshire protected their wicket with Sibley the only dismissal.

In response, Craig Miles and Henry Brookes both led the attack with three wickets a piece as the hosts were bowled out for 192 in 70.1 overs.

Oliver Hannon-Dalby, Tim Bresnan, Danny Briggs and Lamb all chipped in on a mild second day in North Yorkshire.

Returning to bat on day three, the Bears reached 89/2 – both wickets retired out – before the weather forced a elbow nudge to end proceedings.
