With Warwickshire's programme of Second XI fixtures starting next week, the Club can confirm that these home fixtures and women’s team games at the Edgbaston Community Sports Ground will be played behind closed doors until further notice.
Further to the open letter to Government, which was issued on Thursday, the Club is firmly committed to ensuring the safe return of spectators at Edgbaston at the soonest opportunity possible and the operational team is working hard to ensure that we deliver a safe and world class sporting experience.
However, with the operational resource focused on Edgbaston and the new challenges associating with equipping the Edgbaston Community Sports Grounds and other recreational venues to meet the new Government guidelines, these fixtures will be played behind closed doors until a further relaxing of the social distancing guidelines.
