Warwickshire’s off-spinning all-rounder Alex Thomson has Derbyshire on a loan agreement that runs until the end of the Vitality Blast group stages.
Having previously joined Durham on loan, Thomson (27) will be available for Derbyshire’s LV= Insurance County Championship and Vitality Blast games until 18 July. However, the agreement prevents him from playing against the Bears in either format.
Paul Farbrace, Director of Cricket at Warwickshire CCC, said: “We want Alex to continue his development by playing as much competitive cricket as possible and this loan spell with Derbyshire presents him with an excellent opportunity.
“Everyone thinks a lot of Alex and we wish him the very best with Derbyshire over the next six weeks.”
