Report: Worcestershire Rapids v Bears, Second XI T20
Jacob Bethell continued his scintillating form this week as the Bears 2nd XI beat Worcestershire Rapids by five wickets in a Second XI T20 tussle at Barnt Green.
Chasing the Rapids’ total of 143, the Bears charged to 147 for five in 15.2 overs with Bethell blasting 79 from just 45 balls with seven fours and six sixes.
He was given assertive support by Dan Mousley, who scored 20 from 15 balls in his first innings since suffering a fractured finger, and Adam Hose (23, 15 balls).
Bethell had earlier also been effective with the ball. He delivered that T20 rarity – a maiden over – when the Bears restricted the Rapids to 143 for five. Bethell took one for ten in three overs while Jake Lintott took two for 27 in four and Carlos Brathwaite one for 20 in four.
