Talbots Law Player of the Match Adam Hose was once again making headlines in front of the Sky cameras.
The batter – who fired an unbeaten 110 (53 balls, 13 fours, 4 sixes) to add to his match-winning 63* against the Steelbacks 48 hours earlier – was the man of the moment as the Bears secured a Derby Day delight.
Over 16,000 were in full voice as they watched their home side win by 144 runs – a record victory in domestic T20 cricket – to move top of the table in the North Group.
“It was a pretty special night to be honest with you and those are the nights as a county cricketer that you dream of almost,” said Hose. “On TV, in front of a packed out Edgbaston – who were bouncing tonight – it doesn’t get much better than that from a personal point of view.
“From a team’s perspective we found ourselves in a tricky patch and fortunately built a good partnership with Dan Mousley. We knew it was a good pitch and you get good value for shots so we knew if we could get a good score on the board we’d stand a really good chance.”
