Warwickshire County Cricket Club has agreed a loan deal with Hampshire for right-arm fast bowler Brad Wheal.
The 25-year-old, who will bolster Mark Robinson’s options with his explosive pace, is available for the LV= Insurance County Championship fixture against Surrey at the Kia Oval, which starts on Monday.
The Scotland international has taken nine County Championship wickets in three matches this season, as well as 22 wickets during Hampshire’s winning Vitality Blast campaign.
In total, Wheal has taken 104 first-class wickets in 44 matches.
Paul Farbrace, Director of Cricket, said: “To be able to bring a talented paceman like Brad into our attack is a real boost to the squad ahead of our trip to the Kia Oval.
“Our thanks go to Hampshire for allowing us to make the deal happen.”
