Report: Somerset v Bears, Second XI T20
Bears Captain Will Rhodes struck 77 not out to lead his side to a five-wicket victory over Somerset at Taunton Vale.
In their fourth Second XI T20 Central Group fixture, Rhodes chose to field first, restricting the hosts to 165/6, wwickets were evenly shared between Ed Barnard, Manraj Johal, Jake Lintott and Rhodes.
In reply, Michael Burgess’ 38 got the Bears off to a good start, before Rhodes’ innings (48 balls, 10×4, 1×6) sealed victory with an over to spare.
The victory leaves Mo Sheikh’s side unbeaten in four matches, with their next fixture taking place on Tuesday against Gloucestershire (2pm start).
