Hassan Ali says it's a pleasure to be a Bear.

Speaking at Edgbaston in his first interview, the Pakistan international is determined to make a big impact, having spent time in the LV= Insurance County Championship last year.

Having agreed a deal that will see him play the full Vitality Blast campaign, including any potential knockout games, and the County Championship until the end of July, Ali is looking to build on his experience with Lancashire this year.

“Firstly, I would like to say thank you to the management of Warwickshire,” said Ali. “They have given me an opportunity to be here and play for them and it’s always a pleasure to be here.

“I had a good experience last year when I was playing for Lancashire. I enjoyed my time there and I want to play more county cricket. When I was growing up, legends like Wasim Akram Waqar Younis and Saqlain Mushtaq were always talking about county cricket.

“They always said that if you’re going to get a chance to play county cricket, you should go there. I feel lucky being here and I’m looking forward to some exciting cricket and good performance.”
