Edgbaston has launched a new corporate cricket event, giving participants the opportunity to play on the ground’s hallowed turf – fresh from a summer of international cricket.
The event on Wednesday 6 September will give eight businesses the opportunity to play a minimum of three matches at the stadium, all on first-class pitches used by the Bears and England throughout the season.
Games will have a big match feel with access to the pitch-side dugouts and changing rooms, official scoreboard, and the action will be accompanied by music to replicate the famous Vitality Blast atmosphere.
A pre-match breakfast in the Warwickshire Suite will start proceedings, before teams are introduced to their coach for the day, a former professional player.
Lunch will be served in the Player’s Dining Room and each team will be treated to a selection of drinks throughout the day.
After the final – teams will head to the Warwickshire Suite for a drinks reception, followed by a two-course prize-giving dinner to reflect on the day’s action.
