FBC Manby Bowdler are a West Midlands solicitors who offer a wide range of expert legal services, with offices in the Black Country and Shropshire.

They became our Official Legal Partner with the aim of building their brand awareness in Birmingham and strengthen their position in the local legal market.

Market Research

At the start of the partnership, FBC Manby Bowdler wanted to measure their brand’s awareness amongst our Membership. A questionnaire was distributed to Members which highlighted a lack of knowledge of their business.

Warwickshire’s Membership database has around 4,500 contacts of which the average demographic is a 61-year-old male, living 20 miles from the stadium. This has a strong correlation with the target audience FBC Manby Bowdler were looking to attract.

Brand Awareness

In year one, we looked at improving the brand affiliation at Edgbaston with advertising boards in-bowl, a press announcement and direct communications to our Members via email.

From then on, the relationship grew and we were able to increase awareness through sponsorship of the County Championship shirt, additional advertising boards in-bowl and match activations that took place in the Members Lounge during County Championship matches.

We worked with FBC Manby Bowdler to create an opportunity to speak to Members, without it feeling like a hard sell. We offered free tea, coffee and cake during the Tea Break on match days, which allowed staff to mingle with the Members and continue to improve their affiliation to the brand.
