The British American Business Council Midlands invite you to join them for breakfast on Wednesday 25th January to discuss the Inauguration of Donald Trump.

The official inauguration of Donald Trump as the 45th President of the United States will take place on Friday 20th January 2017, in Washington, D.C. The inauguration will mark the commencement of the four-year term of Donald Trump, with Mike Pence as the 48th Vice President of the United States.

Join us to discuss what we now might expect in politics, provide insight into the potential consequences of the new administration and explore what this may mean for the British-American relationship.

Our guest speaker at the breakfast is Dr. Steve Hewitt.

Steve is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of History and the American and Canadian Studies Centre at the University of Birmingham.  Canadian by birth, he has taught at universities in Canada, the United States, and, since 2002, in the United Kingdom at the University of Birmingham.  He is an expert on security and intelligence, including counter-terrorism, and has also written about US and Canadian politics in academic and more popular venues.
