Edgbaston Stadium and its official catering partner Levy Restaurants UK has developed its award-winning catering team by naming long-standing Head Chef Dave Hill as Executive Chef and promoting Scott Marini to Head Chef from Head of Player Catering.

The changes have been made as Edgbaston prepares to host its biggest annual programme of international cricket, whilst continuing to build its Elegant Eat fine-dining experience.

Scott is well known to many cricketers on the professional circuit for providing one of the best player dining experiences for almost 10 years.

Claire Daniel, Head of Catering and Facilities at Edgbaston, said: “Dave and Scott have worked together for more than 14 years, including previous roles, and are great assets to Edgbaston.

“Dave has helped transform Edgbaston dining to create one of the best stadium food offerings in the country. His promotion to Executive Chef will see him spend more time on menu development, using locally sourced products, and developing our young team of talented chefs.

“Scott is well known to many cricketers on the professional circuit for providing one of the best player dining experiences for almost 10 years. His promotion to Head Chef will see him lead our team of chefs as we enter our biggest programme of events on and off the field.”

Edgbaston was awarded Venue of the Year at the Birmingham Food, Drink & Hospitality Awards in September and recently staged its second Elegant Eat fine-dining night, which gave more than 50 guests a luxurious seven-course menu in the Warwickshire Suite, overlooking the famous outfield. It stages its third Elegant Eat night on 3 February 2017 and has ambitions to develop this further becoming the first cricket venue to secure a prestigious AA Rosette.

On the field in 2017, Edgbaston hosts four group games and a semi-final in this summer’s ICC Champions Trophy, England’s first day/night Investec Test match against the West Indies and Finals Day of the NatWest T20 Blast.

The stadium will stage the biggest programme of major match cricket outside of London over the next three years with subsequent Investec Test Matches against India in 2018 and Australia in 2019. It will also host five matches in the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup.
