Edgbaston Events continue to be #Ready4You following delay in easing restrictions

Edgbaston Events are ready to continue operating under the latest government guidelines following the Prime Minister's announcement on the delay in lifting social distancing restrictions.

Following Stage 3 of lockdown easing coming into effect on 17 May, Edgbaston Events have been able to welcome a number of successful events back to the stadium with social distancing in place.

After receiving great feedback from our clients, all COVID-secure procedures will stay in place to allow us to continue to welcome events back to Edgbaston during the extended period until 19 July.

The restrictions imposed on the events industry are largely remaining the same as the guidance released following the last easing of lockdown. This allows Edgbaston to host events at 50% capacity of the venue, with the largest events permitted in our Banqueting Suite or Exhibition Hall accommodating up to 300 to 400 people.

However, there has been a change in the restrictions for wedding ceremonies and wakes, with these events now able to take place without limits on the number of guests, providing that social distancing measures remain in place.

If you have a wedding or wake booked at Edgbaston during the period up to 19 July, our Events team will be in touch over the coming days to confirm our new capacities, capabilities and the guidelines that will need to be followed.

However, we have been able to welcome a number of clients back to Edgbaston since the 17 May and delivered some successful events under the current guidelines.
