Edgbaston Events has an exciting opportunity to be a key member of the Conference & Events Sales Team in a proactive events and sales office.

Job Description

Successful applicants will…

  • Be instrumental in assisting the team to deliver high quality events for a variety of external customers and wide range of events.
  • Have experience in detailed event coordination of conferences, weddings and functions, ideally with enquiry handling.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, have a first-class telephone manner and enjoy working with customers both on the telephone and face to face.
  • Have the ability to manage your own time and workloads while adhering to tight deadlines.
  • Maintain regular contact with clients regarding enquiries for conferences, weddings and banquets by telephone, email and in person.
  • Build strong working relationships with your clients and effectively manage the venue diary to maximise revenue.
  • Actively seek client feedback and sales leads wherever possible.
  • Use Salesforce for all your bookings, creating proposals, contract, written confirmations and function sheets.
  • Positively approach all sales opportunities in order to maximise sales and revenue by yielding the business in order to achieve targets.
  • Consistently deliver excellent customer service to all guests and clients.
  • Respond to customer enquiries within the timed guidelines.
  • Be fully aware of the venues facilities and take every opportunity to promote Edgbaston.
