Edgbaston Events are seeking a senior sales leader to continue the growth of its conference and events (C&E) business at our iconic venue.
This person will maintain and develop relationships with new and existing C&E clients. As such, the person fulfilling this role will have strong client relationships within the UK C&E market and a strong local knowledge of Birmingham & the Midlands. The Head of C&E Sales will play a key role in the development and production of Edgbaston’s sales and marketing materials and manage awareness and participation in industry trade shows and exhibitions.
Reporting into the Chief Operating Officer, the role is responsible for the production of key sales system reports, sales forecasting, together with promoting a positive sales team culture, directly managing the Office Manager and the Business Development Manager (BDM) and having accountability over the rest of the sales team.
Role Profile and Key Responsibilities
- Development and promotion of Edgbaston as a C&E Venue
- Ownership and achievement of the C&E sales and profitability budgets and reforecasts
- Authorship, ownership and adherence to C&E strategic plan
- Setting and achievement of the C&E Sales Team’s KPIs/Measures That Matter
- Leading, motivating and inspire the C&E sales team to achieve targets – both re-active & proactive
- Leading and motivating a performance oriented sales culture throughout the C&E sales team
