Under the current guidelines, events at Edgbaston are able to go ahead that are considered essential work, education or training, where these events cannot reasonably be conducted from home or postponed.

At Edgbaston our team are still available to discuss any event requirements that are essential to supporting the NHS, educational bodies or other key industries. The events team can be contacted from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, by calling 0121 369 1994 (option 3) or via email at events@edgbaston.com.

What happens if my event is unable to go ahead due to Government restrictions?

With our COVID Booking Protection, if due to Government restrictions you are unable to hold your event, our flexible options will allow you to work closely with our team to establish how you would like to move forward with your event.

  • Reduce the capacity of your event to match social distancing guidelines
  • Upgrade your event to a larger room to account for social distancing
  • Postpone your event to a date before 30 September 2022 with no additional charge
  • Explore virtual or hybrid event options with the new Edgbaston Studio

Will I need to re-sign a contract when postponing my event?

No. Our team will issue you with a letter of variation for the new event which will change the date of your event only, all other clauses of your event will stay intact and cancellation of your event will be as per the original date.

Do Edgbaston Events offer a flexible cancellation policy?

After exhausting options regarding hybrid events or a postponement, you will be able to cancel your event and we will return to you your full deposit, less any costs that we have directly incurred in association with your event.

There are a number of things we need guests to do when they arrive, on-site and leave our venue to ensure we are keeping you safe.

  • Check in on arrival at reception using the NHS Test & Trace app
  • Face mask must be worn when arriving, leaving and moving around the venue. A mask is not required when seated at a table
  • On arrival, a member of our staff will greet you and escort you where you need to go
  • Hand sanitiser will be available around the venue
  • We’ve introduced a digital menu and online payment process via the Edgbaston App
  • When moving around, please follow our one-way system, which will be clearly labelled

If you are feeling unwell, please do not arrive at the venue.

How are Edgbaston ensuring safety procedures are up-to-date?

All COVID-secure procedures are reviewed on a fortnightly basis to ensure that they hold the most up-to-date information and are in keeping with all current guidelines. These procedures will be in place for the foreseeable future and are subject to change.

We hope that both society and the events industry will be able to return to a new normal as soon as possible. However, in the meantime, we will continue to strive and innovate to ensure the safety of all our guest and staff at Edgbaston.
