Too often, people call a meeting to discuss something without really considering what a good outcome would be.<\/p>\n

  • Do you want a decision?<\/li>\n
  • Do you want to generate ideas?<\/li>\n
  • Are you getting status reports?<\/li>\n
  • Are you communicating something?<\/li>\n
  • Are you making plans?<\/li>\n<\/ul>

    Team goals should actually be at the heart of every team meeting. Effective meetings ones leave you energized and feeling that you’ve really accomplished.<\/p>\n

    2. Have an Agenda<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    If you have a purpose, you must have a meeting agenda. Looking at your agenda will give you a rough idea of how much time you can afford to devote to each item.\u00a0Effective meetings often start\u00a0on time and only go for the allocated time. Time is a precious resource, and no one wants their time wasted. With the amount of time we all spend in meetings, you owe it to yourself and your team to streamline the meeting as much as possible.
