Edgbaston Experience Limited, the joint venture between WCCC and Compass Group plc, have appointed Maria Jones as Head of Conference & Event Sales to oversee the further development of Edgbaston\u2019s non-match day business.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After previously working at Edgbaston from 2011 to 2017 and helping transform the Conference & Events side of the business from a \u00a3750k to an over \u00a32m venture, Maria took on a new challenge at Levy UK, overseeing multiple venues across the country. Over the last few years Maria has been able to develop a greater understanding of the market nationally and is now ready to return to Edgbaston to help evolve the venues presence in the market and the C&E offering at the stadium.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s great to be back and to be part of the amazing team at Edgbaston, they have already made me feel very welcome.<\/p> Maria Jones<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n

In her new role, Maria will be reponsible of managing the development of Edgbaston\u2019s sales & marketing materials, participation in industry trade shows or exhibitions and expanding the C&E offering at Edgbaston.<\/p>\n

On her first day back, Maria said: “Following 2 years at Levy UK I am delighted to return to Edgbaston as the Head of C&E Sales.\u00a0 I am keen to start using the knowledge and experience I have gained from my last role and get stuck in to give a boost to our C&E sales at Edgbaston.\u00a0 It\u2019s great to be back and to be part of the amazing team at the stadium, who have already made me feel very welcome.”<\/p>\n

Maria will initally be involved with the organising of the Conference & Events Networking Showcase on Friday 13 September at Edgbaston.
