Vitality Blast Off is a new competition launch event and will take place on Saturday 20 May and will include the following fixtures:

  • Derbyshire Falcons vs Lancashire Lightning
  • Birmingham Bears vs Yorkshire Vikings

Tickets will include entry to both matches. And with our Ticket Refund Guarantee, your money is safe too if there is no result due to bad weather.

What is Vitality Blast Off?

Vitality Blast Off is a new Major Match coming to Edgbaston Stadium and will mark the start of the 2023 Vitality Blast competition.

The event will see four teams compete in two T20 matches, with Derbyshire Falcons against Lancashire Lightning and Birmingham Bears facing Yorkshire Vikings.

Ticket holders will get access to both games, taking place on Saturday 20 May.

The day will include all the entertainment and excitement that fans enjoy year-on-year from Finals Day, with live music and fan zone activities taking place throughout the day.

Full details for the day will be announced in due course.

How do I purchase tickets for Blast Off?

Tickets for Vitality Blast Off will be available to purchase in priority windows, offering the best tickets at the best prices, with any remaining tickets going on general sale from 10am on Wednesday 7 December.

Fans can register now to get priority access to tickets at edgbaston.com/blastoff.

Members and Season Pass holders

Warwickshire and Derbyshire Members and Season Pass holders will have access to claim their ticket and purchase any additional tickets from 10am on Thursday 24 November.

All Members will be sent information about how to claim their ticket via email from their county.

Priority Club Members and Ballot entrants

Priority Club Members and those who entered the 2023 Major Match ticket Ballot will have access to purchase tickets from 10am on Monday 28 November.

All information about how to purchase tickets during this priority window will be sent via email.

Register for priority

All remaining priority groups, including fans who register for access, will open from 10am on Tuesday 29 November.

Fans can register now to get priority access to tickets at edgbaston.com/blastoff.

All priority windows will close at midnight on Tuesday 6 December. Any remaining tickets will go on general sale from Wednesday 7 December, when prices will rise.

Is Blast Off a group fixture for the Bears?

Yes, the Blast Off fixture between Birmingham Bears and Yorkshire Vikings will be a home North Group fixture for the Bears.

How do Members and Season Pass holders claim their ticket for Blast Off?

Warwickshire and Derbyshire Members and Vitality Blast Season Pass holders can attend Blast Off as part of their Membership or Season Pass package.

From 10am on Thursday 24 November, Members and Vitality Blast Season Pass holders can claim their free ticket for Blast Off and purchase any additional tickets online.

Warwickshire Members & Season Pass holder

Log-in to your account at tickets.edgbaston.com, click ‘Advantages’ on the menu on the right-hand side and select the Blast Off fixture. Once you have selected your seat, pick the ‘Member Comp’ ticket tariff.

You will be able to purchase additional tickets online in the same transaction.

Derbyshire Members & Season Pass holder

Derbyshire will send an email to all Members and Season Pass holders with a unique promo code to access their free ticket. Use the promo code online at tickets.edgbaston.com. You will need to create an Edgbaston account to checkout.

Can Members use their guest passes for Blast Off?

As Vitality Blast Off is a Major Match in collaboration with ECB, Members will not be able to use their free guest passes, but tickets do include the added benefit of both matches.

Vitality Blast Off ticket refund policy

If, for the day for which the ticket is valid, play does not take place OR play is restricted, you will be entitled to a refund of the match ticket value only subject to the below:

(a) if neither match achieve a result – a full 100%;
(b) if one match achieves a result but (i) there are zero to 9.5 overs played of the second match and no result is obtained – a 50% refund.

In no other circumstances can money be refunded.

Booking fees are non-refundable.

Is there a Family Stand at Edgbaston?

Yes, the Selco Builders Warehouse Family Stand is located in Blocks 1-3. The family-friendly stand, which is alcohol-free, is open on all match days.

No alcohol is allowed to be consumed when seated in the Blocks 1-3 and this will be monitored by stewards on match days.

Behind this stand, concessions will be serving family-friendly food and drink and no alcohol will be served.

If you have tickets for the Family Stand and wish to purchase alcohol, you may do so at concessions located around the ground, but you will not be allowed entry into the Family Stand with alcohol.

 

What accessibility facilities are available for spectators?

At Edgbaston we pride ourselves on being able to offer world-class facilities that are accessible to everyone.

Around the ground there are a number of wheelchair user areas, which are located within the stands ensuring that fans are still a part of the fantastic Edgbaston atmosphere. The stadium is also accessibility friendly with a host of lifts, ramps and staircases around the ground. Additionally on match days our stewarding team are available to provide assistance and direction for all fans.

Seats

We have wheelchair access seating in the West Upper, South Lower and Eric Hollies. There are also a selection of seats on the Skyline and in our two Members areas; the Tom Dollery Lounge and the David Heath Suite.

 

Parking

A limited number of disabled parking spaces are available on-site at Edgbaston Stadium. We encourage anyone seeking to purchase disabled parking to do so as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

Multifaith Room

Multifaith Rooms are available in the South Stand on the first floor, next to the 501* Lounge, and behind the Selco Builders Warehouse Family Stand.

Speak to one of our friendly stewards who can help direct you to one of the room.

 

Sensory Rooms

Sensory Rooms are available for children and adults with sensory processing issues to attend a match in a calm environment at Edgbaston Stadium.

The specially designed spaces are located in the South Stand and in the RES Wyatt Stand.

How do I sell tickets on the Ticket Exchange re-sale platform?

Edgbaston has launched an official Ticket Exchange re-sale platform to allow ticket buyers who can no longer attend a Major Match to sell their tickets, at no charge, to other supporters.

It’s easy to sell tickets via the platform. Follow the step-by-step guide below:

  1. Log-in to your online ticket account at tickets.edgbaston.com
  2. On My Homepage, scroll down and click on View Tickets
  3. Find the tickets you want to re-sell and follow the instructions on screen

Please note, tickets can only be sold at face value or less.

Once tickets have been sold on the re-sale platform, you can no longer access these tickets and you will automatically receive a refund back to your original payment method (please allow 3-5 working days). If your card is no longer valid, your refund will appear as credit on your account and you can contact us to organise alternative payment back to you.

If you have listed tickets on to the Ticket Exchange and change your mind, you can re-claim your tickets if they haven’t already been sold via your account.

Will Car Parking be available to purchase?

We encourage spectators, who are able to, to leave the car at home and use public transport wherever possible.

Off-site parking is available to purchase in advance for all Major Matches, Vitality Blast T20 and The Hundred matches at Edgbaston.

Parking will be available at Moseley Ashfield Britannic Park (Pink Car Park, B13 8NQ) and can be purchase in advance online here. This site is around a 15-minute walk to the stadium.

A limited number of on-site Accessible Parking is available for Blue Badge holders to book on a first-come, first-serve basis online here. If you have any questions about Accessible Parking, please email tickets@edgbaston.com.
