When will tickets go on sale for England v New Zealand Test in 2021?

Tickets for our England v Pakistan ODI and Vitality Blast Finals Day are sold out.

Edgbaston will host more international cricket in 2021 after being awarded the second match of the LV= Insurance Test series between England and New Zealand, which starts on Thursday 10 June.

Tickets will be available through our priority windows and ballot, before tickets go on general sale on Monday 22 February, 2021.

With the award of the New Zealand Test, Edgbaston will no longer host the Sri Lanka IT20

The fixture dates are provisional and subject to change, but fans can book with confidence with our Ticket Refund Guarantee. This ensures that purchasers will get a refund if the fixture or their tickets are cancelled, or if they are unable to attend a match they purchased a ticket for because of a change in date.

Priority Windows
Warwickshire Members who donated their fee in 2020 will have first priority to purchase tickets from 10am on Wednesday 27 January. Donating Members can buy tickets by logging in to their online account or calling 0330 551 1994 (9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday).

2021 Members will have next priority from 10am on Friday 29 January. Membership for 2021 is on sale now and can be purchased online or over the phone.

Ticket buyers from the cancelled West Indies Test match or Ireland ODI in 2020 who accepted credit, and those who rolled over their tickets from Vitality Blast Finals Day, will have priority access when their window opens from 10am on Friday 5 February.

Enter the ballot
For those who do not have access to any of our priority windows, you can enter our ballot for the best chance to get tickets before they go on general sale in February.

Ballot will close at 5pm on Thursday 11 February. Winners will then be contacted the following week with details on how to purchase tickets.

You can enter the ballot here.

Please note: All tickets are subject to availability and we encourage supporters to purchase their tickets as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

How do I buy Major Match tickets?

Tickets can be purchased online at tickets.edgbaston.com or over the phone by calling 0330 551 1994 (9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday).

Unfortunately, we can’t welcome Members or fans to our Ticket Office at Store ’94 during any Government national lockdown and we’ll look to re-open as soon as we are allowed to do so.

Fans can purchase up to 10 tickets per day online. If you wish to purchase more, please contact the Club directly.

A maximum of four tickets can be purchased in Member areas.

I have credit in my online account. Can I use this to purchase tickets?

Yes, absolutely. Those with credit in their account can use it to purchase tickets, Membership or Season Passes for 2021.

The easiest way to use your credit is online. Below is a step-by-step guide on how to use the credit in your online account to purchase Major Match tickets.

  1. Select the fixture and seats you want to purchase, as usual, online at tickets.edgbaston.com and click Add To Cart.
  2. On the Basket page, click Buy Now. Then on the next page select your Delivery Method and click Continue.
  3. On the Order Summary page, scroll down and before you proceed to payment, you will see a section called ‘Use your credit to pay for your order’. On this section, the tick box will be checked and it will tell you how much credit you have to use. The value of your credit will be deducted from your Amount Due balance.
  4. Check the Terms & Conditions ticket box and click ‘Proceed to Payment’.
  5. If there is any balance left to pay, you will need to add a payment method at this stage. Once complete, you will receive a booking confirmation via email with your booking details.

You can also use your credit when purchasing tickets over the phone by calling 0121 369 1994 (9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday).

Credit can also be used to purchase Major Match tickets, domestic tickets or Membership in 2022.

Can I claim a refund if my fixture date changes?

Yes, you can book with confidence knowing that if your fixture date changes and you can now longer attend, you will be able to claim a refund.

If the date changes and you can no longer attend your fixture, for any reason, you will have the opportunity to claim a refund during a 14-day window. All ticket buyers will be communicated with details via email.

You will be entitled to claim back the value of your tickets. Please note, booking fees are non-refundable.

After this window has closed, you will still have the option to return your tickets and get your money back via our official Ticket Exchange re-sale platform, allowing you to sell your tickets, at face value, for free to other supporters.

If in 2021 the match or your tickets are cancelled due to health and safety reasons, you will again be eligible for a refund for the value of your tickets with our Ticket Refund Guarantee.

What plans do you have in place if venue capacity has to be reduced?

Edgbaston and the ECB will continue to work with Government and other sports over the winter to understand how we can safely welcome cricket fans back in 2021.

If there is a requirement for social distancing and a reduction in stadium capacity, we will contact ticket purchasers to advise on next steps and any contingency measures involved.

We reserve the right to cancel your ticket due to health and safety. If we cancel your ticket, you will be eligible for a refund of the face value of the tickets. Please note booking fees are non-refundable. We have absolute discretion as to which tickets to cancel in this situation.

How do I sell tickets on the Ticket Exchange re-sale platform?

Edgbaston has launched an official Ticket Exchange re-sale platform to allow ticket buyers who can no longer attend a Major Match in 2021 to sell their tickets, at no charge, to other supporters.

It’s easy to sell tickets via the platform. Follow the step-by-step guide below:

  1. Log-in to your online ticket account at tickets.edgbaston.com
  2. On My Homepage, scroll down and click on View Tickets
  3. Find the tickets you want to re-sell and follow the instructions on screen

Please note, tickets can only be sold at face value or less.

Once tickets have been sold on the re-sale platform, you can no longer access these tickets and you will automatically receive a refund back to your original payment method (please allow 3-5 working days). If your card is no longer valid, your refund will appear as credit on your account and you can contact us to organise alternative payment back to you.

If you have listed tickets on to the Ticket Exchange and change your mind, you can re-claim your tickets if they haven’t already been sold via your account.

If you have any questions, please email tickets@edgbaston.com.

When will Car Parking be available to purchase for 2021 fixtures?

Car parking for 2021 will be available to purchase at a later date, once the details have been confirmed. Once available, this will be communicated to all tickets buyers via email and on our website.

What procedures have been put in place to make Edgbaston a safe venue?

We know things can change and we’ve made our approach flexible so we can react to any changes to the guidelines, when necessary.

As part of this, we have introduced a number of new and improved health, safety and cleanliness procedures to provide greater reassurance to all visitors as part of Our Promise, a six-point plan in response to COVID-19.

  • Hygiene & Cleanliness – New and improved cleaning procedures are in place and we will provide a high level of hand sanitiser dispensers around the stadium.
  • Contact Free Catering – Food and drink will be prepared on-site and maintaining Edgbaston’s outstanding quality, wide range of choices and fresh produce.
  • Enhanced Technology – Utilising the latest technology and the new Edgbaston app to offer a contactless entry into the stadium, latest match information, way-finding and click and collect ordering for food and drink.
  • Staff Fully Trained – All staff are fully trained and working to new operational procedures and will have PPE tailored to their role.
  • Communication – Ticket buyers will have regular communications from the Club pre-arrival, on-the-day and post event.
