When will tickets go on sale for Edgbaston’s Major Matches in 2021?

Tickets for Edgbaston’s programme of Major Matches in 2021 will go on sale from Friday 20 November, starting with the England v Pakistan ODI which is scheduled to take place on Tuesday 13 July and Vitality Blast Finals Day, on Saturday 18 September.

Tickets will be available through our priority windows and ballot, before tickets go on general sale on Tuesday 12 January, 2021.

Pakistan ODI and Vitality Blast Finals Day fixtures are on sale at this time. We are still waiting for confirmation regarding the England v Sri Lanka IT20 from the ECB.

The fixture dates are provisional and subject to change, but fans can book with confidence with our Ticket Refund Guarantee. This ensures that purchasers will get a refund if the fixture or their tickets are cancelled, or if they are unable to attend a match they purchased a ticket for because of a change in date.

 

Priority Windows
Warwickshire Members who donated their fee in 2020 will have first priority to purchase tickets from 10am on Friday 20 November. Donating Members can buy tickets by logging in to their online account or calling 0121 369 1994 (9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday).

2021 Members will have next priority from 10am on Thursday 26 November. Membership for 2021 is on sale now and can be purchased online or over the phone.

Ticket buyers from the West Indies Test match or Ireland ODI in 2020 who accepted credit, and those who rolled over their tickets for Vitality Blast Finals Day, will have priority access when their window opens from 10am on Thursday 3 December.

 

Enter the ballot
For those who do not have access to any of our priority windows, you can enter our ballot for the best chance to get tickets before they go on general sale in January.

Ballot will close at 5pm on Friday 11 December. Winners will then be contacted the following week with details on how to purchase tickets.

How do I enter the ballot to purchase England v Pakistan tickets?

For those who do not have access to any of our priority windows, you can enter our ballot for the best chance to secure tickets for England v Pakistan ODI at Edgbaston in 2021 before they go on general sale in January.

Its easy to enter. Simply complete the form on our ballot page at edgbaston.com/ballot.

At the moment, you can only enter the ballot for the England v Pakistan ODI. Details about the England v Sri Lanka IT20 ballot will be confirmed at a later date once confirmed by the ECB.

There will be no ballot for Vitality Blast Finals Day this year due to the limited tickets available for this match.

The ballot will close at 5pm on Friday 11 December. Winners will then be contacted the following week with details on how to purchase tickets.

I have credit in my online account. Can I use this to purchase Major Match tickets?

Yes, absolutely. Those with credit in their account can use it to purchase tickets, Membership or Season Passes for 2021.

The easiest way to use your credit is online. Below is a step-by-step guide on how to use the credit in your online account to purchase Major Match tickets.

  1. Select the fixture and seats you want to purchase, as usual, online at tickets.edgbaston.com and click Add To Cart.
  2. On the Basket page, click Buy Now. Then on the next page select your Delivery Method and click Continue.
  3. On the Order Summary page, scroll down and before you proceed to payment, you will see a section called ‘Use your credit to pay for your order’. On this section, the tick box will be checked and it will tell you how much credit you have to use. The value of your credit will be deducted from your Amount Due balance.
  4. Check the Terms & Conditions ticket box and click ‘Proceed to Payment’.
  5. If there is any balance left to pay, you will need to add a payment method at this stage. Once complete, you will receive a booking confirmation via email with your booking details.

You can also use your credit when purchasing tickets over the phone by calling 0121 369 1994 (9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday).

Can I claim a refund if my fixture date changes?

Yes, you can book with confidence knowing that if your fixture date and you can now longer attend, you will be able to claim a refund.

The dates for the England v Pakistan ODI, which is scheduled to take place on Tuesday 13 July, and Vitality Blast Finals Day, which is due to take place on Saturday 18 September, are provisional and subject to change.

If the date changes and you can no longer attend your fixture, for any reason, you will have the opportunity to claim a refund during a 14-day window. All ticket buyers will be communicated with details via email.

You will be entitled to claim back the value of your tickets. Please note, booking fees are non-refundable.

After this window has closed, you will still have the option to return your tickets and get your money back via our official Ticket Exchange re-sale platform, allowing you to sell your tickets, at face value, for free to other supporters.

If in 2021 the match or your tickets are cancelled due to health and safety reasons, you will again be eligible for a refund for the value of your tickets with our Ticket Refund Guarantee.

If the match or my tickets are cancelled in 2021, can I claim a refund?

Yes, you can book your tickets with confidence knowing that you can claim a refund if your fixture doesn’t go ahead.

Our Ticket Refund Guarantee means if your fixture or tickets are cancelled due to health and safety reasons, you will be eligible for a refund for the value of your tickets or you can accept a credit option to use on tickets in 2022.

Please note, booking fees are non-refundable.

In a situation where we have to reduce our capacity and are required to cancel a proportion of tickets, we have discretion as to which tickets to cancel. In such circumstances, you will again be eligible for a refund for the value of your tickets.

What plans do you have in place if venue capacity has to be reduced?

Edgbaston and the ECB will continue to work with Government and other sports over the winter to understand how we can safely welcome cricket fans back in 2021.

If there is a requirement for social distancing and a reduction in stadium capacity, we will contact ticket purchasers to advise on next steps and any contingency measures involved.

We reserve the right to cancel your ticket due to health and safety. If we cancel your ticket, you will be eligible for a refund of the face value of the tickets. Please note booking fees are non-refundable. We have absolute discretion as to which tickets to cancel in this situation.

What procedures have been put in place to make Edgbaston a safe venue?

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, we have been working hard to make sure Edgbaston follows all UK Government and local guidelines to allow us to re-open to the public safely.

We know things can change and we’ve made our approach flexible so we can react to any changes to the guidelines, when necessary.

As part of this, we have introduced a number of new and improved health, safety and cleanliness procedures to provide greater reassurance to all visitors as part of Our Promise, a six-point plan in response to COVID-19.

  • Social Distancing – Social distancing measures (based on guidelines at the time) will be in place with clear guidance around the venue. We have also installed a one-way system to ensure visitors can navigate the stadium safely.
  • Hygiene & Cleanliness – New and improved cleaning procedures are in place and we will provide a high level of hand sanitiser dispensers around the stadium.
  • Contact Free Catering – Food and drink will be prepared on-site and maintaining Edgbaston’s outstanding quality, wide range of choices and fresh produce.
  • Enhanced Technology – Utilising the latest technology and the new Edgbaston app to offer a contactless entry into the stadium, latest match information, way-finding and click and collect ordering for food and drink.
  • Staff Fully Trained – All staff are fully trained and working to new operational procedures and will have PPE tailored to their role.
  • Communication – Ticket buyers will have regular communications from the Club pre-arrival, on-the-day and post event.

Refund policy for England v Pakistan ODI tickets

If, for the day of this fixture, the venue is unable to admit spectators OR play does not take place OR play is restricted, you will be entitled to a refund option of only the match ticket value subject to there being: (a) non admittance of spectators OR zero to 15 overs played and no result is obtained – a full refund; (b) 15.1 overs to 30 overs played and no result is obtained – a 50% refund.  In no other circumstances can money be refunded.

In respect of tickets purchased in advance for the day on which this ticket is valid, an option of credit or refund will be available. Refunds will be made by Warwickshire County Cricket Club to the original purchaser only, either by refunding his or her debit or credit card or by sending a cheque.

In respect of tickets purchased at the Ground on the day for which this ticket is valid, refunds may be claimed by sending this ticket with your name and address in block capitals to Warwickshire County Cricket Club, Edgbaston Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham, B5 7QU within 28 days of the Match date.  For refund queries telephone 0121 369 1994. Also visit ecb.co.uk/refundscheme. Please allow 30 days from the receipt of the claim for your refund to be processed.

Refund policy for Vitality Blast Finals Day tickets

If, for the day of this fixture, the venue is unable to admit spectators OR play does not take place OR play is restricted, you will be entitled to a refund option of the match ticket value only subject to the below: (a) non admittance of spectators – a full refund; (b) if the second semi-final does not achieve a result – a full 100%; (b) if both semi-final matches do achieve a result but (i) there are zero to 10 overs played of the T20 Final (the last scheduled match of the day) AND (ii) no result is obtained in the T20 Final – a 50% refund.  In no other circumstances can money be refunded.

In respect of tickets purchased in advance for the day on which this ticket is valid, an option of credit or refund will be available. Refunds will be made by Warwickshire County Cricket Club to the original purchaser only, either by refunding his or her debit or credit card or by sending a cheque.

Please note that in the event that the final is not completed on the scheduled day, there is a reserve day (the following day). In this event, your ticket will be valid for entry on the reserve day and you will still be entitled to claim your refund, if applicable.
