County Championship: Spectator Guide

Gates open: 10am
Play starts: 11am (10am for games starting in September)
Lunch interval: 1pm to 1.40pm
Tea interval: 3.40pm to 4pm (or when 32 overs remain in the day)
Scheduled close: 6pm
Tickets are available on the day: Adults £15, Under-16s free
Car Parking is available on the day: £7.50 per car, £5 for Members (subject to availability)
Under 16s Info
All under 16s must be accompanied by an adult, otherwise they will not be granted entry. All under 16s go completely free but they will need a ticket – please collect a ticket from a steward or the Ticket Office at Store ’94.
Working with the ECB and The Cloud, Edgbaston has installed a state-of-the-art free Wi-Fi available for all spectators.
To connect search for Wi-Fi networks and select “_The Cloud” upon connection login using your existing Cloud account or complete a once only registration form.

Please have your Membership Card or match ticket ready when you arrive. Spectators can enter via Main Reception (Gate e4/5) and Members can enter via Gate e1 which has access to the Tom Dollery Lounge.
As you would expect, we will have a safety and security operation in place when you arrive. There are some items you can’t bring into the ground;
- No alcohol
- No cans
- No glass vessels
- No fireworks
- No whistles or horns
- No instruments
Dogs are not allowed entry, except for guide or support dogs. Smoking is only permitted within the marked smoking zones within the Ground.

How To Find Us
Edgbaston Stadium is located in Edgbaston, two miles from Birmingham city centre. Our postcode is B5 7QU.
There are plenty of public transport links to the stadium, with Birmingham New Street station located two miles away, with regular bus and taxi services available from the station to the stadium.
A safe walking route is also available from the city centre, which will take approximately 25 minutes.
We look forward to welcoming you to Edgbaston Stadium. The following information will help you plan your travel to Edgbaston and offer transport tips to make your visit as enjoyable as possible.
- Plan your journey to and from Edgbaston and give plenty of time to arrive at the ground
- Please leave the car at home and use public transport wherever possible, there are many great rail and public bus routes
- Gates open an hour before the start of play
Birmingham has great public transport links and we strongly recommend that you consider public transport so that you can make the most of your day with us.
Birmingham New Street Station is the main rail hub for the city with connections from all over the country. There are regular trains to Manchester and London, with a journey time under 90 minutes. We recommend that you book your tickets in advance.

From Broad Street and Five-Ways Island
Service 1 stops outside the ground on Edgbaston Road.
From Bullring (Debenhams bus stops) & Moor Street Station)
Services 45 & 47 provide a frequency of up to every 5 minutes stop on Priory Road, Pershore Road which is only a few seconds away from the ground.
From Bullring (Debenhams bus stops)
Services X61, 63 & X64 stop on Priory Road, Bristol Rd which is a couple of minutes walk from the ground.
From Bullring (Selfridges Entrance) & Digbeth Coach Station
Service 35 takes you just a few minutes walk away from the ground on Willow Road, Edgbaston Road

Edgbaston Stadium is easy to get to by bike with both the Rea Valley Route and the brand new A38 (Bristol Road) cycle route from Selly Oak close by – find a map of this route here.
Facilities to lock your bike securely are available at the stadium.
Coach services run from across the country to the Birmingham Coachway in Digbeth. To find out how to travel by coach, please visit nationalexpress.com.
A word of caution if you are planning to drive. The streets around the stadium are all residential and are subject to stringent parking restrictions.
If you do plan to drive, limited parking is available at Edgbaston Stadium, subject to availability. The car park can be accessed via Edgbaston Road, priced at £7.50 per car and £5 per car for Members.

Please note; drivers choosing to park illegally, including on double yellow lines, blocking cycle routes, driveways or pavements may be ticketed.
On-site parking will be available to buy on each day. Parking will be available at the Main Car Park, accessible via the entrance off Edgbaston Road. Please use our post code B5 7QU to find us.
While the Club will always try to accommodate all vehicles visiting the ground, admittance will be on a first come, first served basis. Please plan your journey in advance and arrive early to guarantee your on-site match day parking.
Public car parking may also be available on a pay and display basis in Cannon Hill Park and/or the Birmingham Wildlife Conservation Centre, but note that these car parks are not operated by Edgbaston.
Food & Drink
Fordhall Farm, a community-owned organic farm, are our exclusive matchday food catering partner.
They supply all units that are open around the stadium at Edgbaston and you will find a wide variety of catering options available including vegetarian, vegan, halal and gluten free.
Cashless – Bring Your Card or E-Wallet
To help improve the service we can offer, Edgbaston has gone cashless. Only card payments will be accepted at bars and catering units around the ground. Please remember to bring your card or e-wallet.
Cash will still be accepted in the Tom Dollery Lounge and David Heath Suite for Members only.
We have five hydration stations located around the ground, so you’ll be able to fill up your water bottle all day from where ever you are seated.
We encourage spectators to bring their own sports water bottle and use our stations to stay hydration during your day with us.
What Can I Bring With Me?
Food and drinks are allowed in the ground, but alcohol, glass bottles and cans are all prohibited and will be taken on arrival.
