Alex Thomson struck two centuries in the match as Warwickshire drew their Second XI Championship match against Nottinghamshire at Portland Road.
Having scored 134 (185 balls, 22 fours) in the first innings, the spin-bowling all-rounder was to the fore again in the second as the Bears came under pressure on the final day.
Trailing by 78 on first innings, the Bears were hit by four early wickets for paceman Mark Foottit and were in trouble at 69 for five.
But, in baking heat, they were rescued by an excellent sixth-wicket stand of 215 by Thomson who scored 118 (173 balls, 20 fours) and Alex Mellor (101 not out, 220 bals, 18 fours).
Warwickshire reached 326 for six as the game petered out into draw.
