We’ve launched ‘Taste of Cricket’, a new Raising The Game campaign that celebrates the powerful link between cricket, food and community, showcasing the vibrant and unique culinary culture across the game.
The campaign will see over 100 recreational clubs across England and Wales opening up their doors to their local communities for a special match tea.
Through the language of food, each special match tea event, supported by Remitly, will showcase different stories of community clubs and volunteers who are driving positive change within the game and improving access to recreational cricket.
We’re also creating a Taste of Cricket cookbook, which will launch after the summer festivities. It will feature a range of beloved classics and innovative twists on match tea recipes, crowdsourced from grassroots volunteers, cricket and foodie royalty, and famous fans of the game.
Do you fancy yourself a match tea chef? Do you have a special recipe that’s a hit at your cricket club? We’re offering cricket fans the chance to have their cricket tea recipes featured in the Taste of Cricket cookbook. Submit your entry here for a chance to be included (T&Cs apply and are listed on the competition webpage; entrants must be 14 years or older and resident in the UK).
