The Warwickshire Cricket Foundation are running a Young Cricket Officials (YCO) and Activator training course, aimed at giving 14-18 year olds the necessary skills and confidence to umpire and score in cricket.

The programme is completely free and involves face-to-face training in which you learn how to umpire and score before putting your new skills to use in matches.

There will also be opportunities to learn how to coach various cricket skills.

It’s an excellent opportunity for 14-18 year olds who want to learn more about cricket, help out at their local club, or gain useful skills towards a volunteer scheme (such as Duke of Edinburgh).

The course will be held at Leamington Cricket Club on Friday, August 16th, from 10am to 3pm; click here to register.
