Today, the Warwickshire Cricket Foundation welcomed 13 recipients of Cricket Collective Awards to Edgbaston to receive their awards from Gavin Larsen, Performance Director of Warwickshire County Cricket Club.

The Cricket Collective Awards celebrate volunteers who go above and beyond to help make cricket happen. Without these individuals, cricket would not function as it does at these clubs.

The awards present a perfect chance to show our appreciation to our volunteers for their remarkable work and to honour their success alongside them.

Guests enjoyed a three-course meal followed by tea and cupcakes to celebrate their contributions to the recreational game.

Over 60 individuals attended the event, including Foundation staff, volunteers, and Stuart Cain, the chief executive of the Warwickshire County Cricket Club.

Ed McCabe, Head of Recreational Cricket and Operations, said “Today is a testament to those who have put in a lot of hard work at their cricket clubs to make them a better place.”

“They are the essential foundation of the recreational game. Without the commitment of volunteers, many of our cricket clubs would struggle to run.”

All winners will now be nominated for the National Grassroots Cricket Collective Awards, through which their contributions will be evaluated for national recognition by the England and Wales Cricket Board.

The Warwickshire Cricket Foundation will recognise each winner on a week-by-week basis, starting next Friday, 27th September.
