We’re thrilled to announce the appointment of our new Disability Development Officer, who will play an important role in enhancing inclusive cricket opportunities.
Nigel Perry-Ogden has replaced Rob Eynon, who left last month to join the Lord Taverners in a regional position.
He joins the Clubs team at the Warwickshire Cricket Foundation, where he will oversee all accessibility cricket programs in Warwickshire and Birmingham.
Nigel will visit schools to deliver cricket sessions and oversee Super 1’s hubs in and around Warwickshire and Birmingham, which offer free cricket sessions.
Nigel has recently worked as National Programmes Officer for just under two years, overseeing national programmes All Stars and Dynamos.
Speaking to Nigel about the transition, he said: “I am very excited to start as the new Disability Development Officer. Having been in and around the world of disability for the last couple of years I know what an amazing and rewarding area it can be, and I can’t wait to put my own stamp on it.”
“The most important thing for me is making sure everyone who has some form of disability knows they have access to cricket and providing these people with a fun, enjoyable experience every time.”
All Stars and Dynamos are ECB led programmes that run throughout the summer at cricket clubs around Warwickshire and Birmingham and aim to be a fun and exciting introduction to Cricket.
We wish Nigel the best of luck in his new role and hope to see even greater growth in accessible cricket in the county.
