Join us for an evening designed to support new volunteers in learning the basics of cricket.

We are hosting four volunteer development evenings to prepare volunteers for the upcoming season.

Throughout the evening we will cover the fundamentals of softball cricket, including how to score using Play Cricket and how to umpire.

This initiative is part of the Metro Bank Girls in Cricket Fund, following Metro Bank’s commitment as the first-ever Champion of Women’s and Girls’ Cricket.

The sessions are ideal for anyone looking to take their first steps into coaching or volunteering with a club that has a girls’ section.

Gabby Basketter, Women’s and Girl’s Club Development Officer, said: “After the success of running our volunteer evenings in 2024, we are doubling these to help support the growth of our women’s and girl’s sections in Warwickshire and Birmingham.”

“Sessions are open for those of any gender to attend looking to support women’s and girl’s cricket.”
