We’re excited to share that next month we’ll be running a Young Leaders and Young Cricket Officials (YCO) Course, designed to equip 14–18 year olds with the skills and confidence needed to umpire and score in cricket.
The programme is completely free and involves face-to-face training in which you learn how to umpire and score before putting your new skills to use in matches.
It’s an excellent opportunity for 14-18 year olds who want to learn more about cricket, help out at their local club, or gain useful skills towards a volunteer scheme (such as Duke of Edinburgh).
Last year, we successfully ran two courses at Dorridge Cricket Club and Leamington Cricket Club, with a total of 29 participants taking part across the two days.
This year’s course will take place at Solihull Blossomfield Cricket Club on Friday 15th August, from 9:30am to 3:30pm: click here to register.
