With the Women’s T20 World Cup coming to England and Wales this summer, cricket is set to capture the imagination of thousands of girls and women inspired to pick up a bat and ball for the first time.
To help clubs make the most of this exciting opportunity, we are delighted to announce a new workshop focused on preparing cricket clubs to welcome new players into the game. Designed to ensure clubs feel ready for growth, the session will provide practical guidance and support across a range of key areas.
The workshop will cover:
- WCF x Club Taster Scheme (leading to a programme of activity)
- Hosting Open Days
- Creating Welcoming Environments
- Social Media and Marketing Support
- Watch Parties
- Grant Opportunities
The workshop is free, and will take place on Wednesday 25th March at 7pm at Edgbaston Stadium (B5 7QU).
Open to all clubs across Warwickshire and Birmingham, this workshop will be particularly valuable for those new to women’s and girls’ cricket, or clubs that have faced recruitment challenges in recent years.
