Nuneaton Cricket Club were crowned 2025 Women’s Softball Hundred Ball champions on Bank Holiday Monday after a convincing 66 run win over Stratford-upon-Avon Cricket Club in the rearranged final.

The final had originally been scheduled for the end of the 2025 season but was postponed due to rain, leaving the competition without a winner until this year.

Batting first, Nuneaton posted an excellent 117/2 from their 100 balls. Strong partnerships, positive stroke play and quick running between the wickets helped the home side build a challenging total and take control of the match early on.

Nuneaton carried that momentum into the field with a disciplined bowling display and sharp fielding performance. Regular wickets and tight bowling kept Stratford under pressure throughout the chase and prevented the visitors from building any rhythm.

Stratford finished on 81/8 from their 100 balls, securing a deserved 66 run victory for Nuneaton.

After a long wait following last season’s washout, Nuneaton can now officially celebrate being crowned Women’s Softball 100 Ball champions.
