Our Girls Development Centre Programme is the newest cricket offer in Warwickshire for girls.

The programme is open to girls who aren’t currently part of the county pathway. Clubs nominate girls who show a real passion for the game and the potential to thrive under the guidance of our all-female coaching team.

Participants get the chance to play internal matches, practice skills in the nets, and take part in fielding sessions, all designed to help them develop as cricketers.

Girls successfully transitioned into county pathways

The programme was expanded in 2024 to offer even more opportunities for girls to develop their cricket skills.

Girls from the U12 and U14 age groups attended trial days prior to the development centre camp, allowing them to improve their skills before selection.

The programme featured 10 female coaches, all of whom have progressed through county pathways. This included two current members of the Warwickshire Women’s team and two with playing experience for Birmingham Phoenix in The Hundred.

We believe that having positive role models creates a unique and enriching learning experience for young cricketers.
