Supported by the Lords Taverners, we run Table Cricket, Super 1’s, Super 9’s, and have a county access team competing in both competitions, with the team entering the D40 league for the first time this year.

Super 1s

Super 1s offers regular weekly coaching sessions and opportunities to participate in competitions. These inclusive community sessions are designed for anyone with a physical or learning disability, with the goal of boosting confidence, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and developing cricket skills.

Supers 1s is the most accessible form of access cricket. We host sessions in and around Warwickshire and Birmingham, aiming to provide a safe space for people to play cricket and learn new skills.

Super 9s

The Super 9’s program, like Super 1’s, is a national competition designed for players with physical and/or learning disabilities. The programme aims to provide these players with an opportunity to represent their county in cricket and to advance along the disability cricket pathway to D40 and DPL. This format is played as a longer overs game using a softball, ensuring a level of safety for those who want to play competitively.

D40

The program aims to provide players from Super 9’s with a premium opportunity to participate in domestic county-level disability cricket. This format differs slightly from the previous ones, as it uses a pink hardball and requires protective equipment for play.

Warwickshire Access Team

The Warwickshire Access team is the disability cricket team for Warwickshire. They train at the Edgbaston Indoor Centre on Saturday mornings from 9 to 10 am during the winter months and compete in the Super 9s and D40 leagues. In 2023, the Warwickshire Access team won the Super 9s competition.

Earlier this year, they entered the D40 hardball league for the first time.
