Over the last two years, we have had the privilege of welcoming hundreds of school pupils to Edgbaston Stadium.

In May 2025, we hosted over 500 pupils from primary and secondary schools to watch Warwickshire take on Hampshire in the Rothesay County Championship. The pupils had an unforgettable day, enjoying the match, trying out cricket themselves, meeting balloon modellers, and exploring the cricket museum.

These annual events are a key part of our ongoing efforts to raise the profile of women’s cricket, inspire future generations of cricketers, and promote both physical and mental well-being through the power of sport.

It’s always a fantastic day when we welcome hundreds of schoolchildren to Edgbaston and give them the full matchday experience. Inviting schools and offering children the chance to visit the stadium and watch some of the best cricketers in action creates unforgettable memories. It’s moments like these that truly inspire the next generation of cricketers.

We’re really fortunate to visit Edgbaston to watch the Bears Women. It’s such a great chance for the girls to see live cricket and enjoy a day out together.

Shelley Walker, Subject Leader for Physical Education

The organisation of the school day has been absolutely fantastic, everything has run smoothly from start to finish. The children have loved every moment of their visit to Edgbaston.

Andy Beales, Subject Leader for Physical Education

I just wanted to say a big thank you for arranging yesterday’s visit. We all really enjoyed the Cricket. The students were loved it, also meeting some of the coaches that have done training sessions with us, and having photo’s with the players too. We look forward to carrying on with our links with Warwickshire Cricket Foundation.
